The Cape Fear High School Wind Ensemble is comprised of the most talented musicians at Cape Fear High School. Primarily, the group is offered to 11th and 12th graders but others may be admitted into the class as well. This is top performing music ensemble at the school.

 

Students who are interested in being in the Wind Ensemble must have had an adequate audition for All-County Band. It doesn't necessarily mean you made it, but that you did try your best at the audition. Students who are in the Wind Ensemble are encouraged to try and audition at the All-District level to represent Cape Fear High School at the top levels possible.

The Wind Ensemble always performs at the North Carolina Bandmasters Association's Music Performance Adjudication Festival as well as the annual Spring Concert at Cape Fear High School.
