Marching Band
Marching band is co-curricular (during and after school) at Cape Fear. Students must be enrolled in band class in order to participate in marching band (including color guard). The Cape Fear Marching Band is formed in June, and performs through the fall semester at all football games, and about 4-5 competitions. Marching Band “fair share” or "dues" per student is approximately $500 which covers all expenses for the season (band camp, travel, lodging, instruction, and most meals). For some family circumstances, fair share scholarships are offered. We never want cost to be the reason for a young person not to experience the amazing opportunities available in the CF Band program. If you have any concerns, please contact Mr. Jorgensen.

Marching Band Schedule
Please review the full calendar for 2026 CFMB. It is possible that some of these dates may change. Please especially pay attention to camp and performance dates (listed below) and take note of important SAT and ACT testing dates. No student is allowed to sign up for Drivers Education during band camps or the marching band season. Please make every attempt to make family plans with the marching band calendar in mind. Students with conflicts with camp and performance dates will need special consideration for membership at registration.

May 18: Marching Band Commitment Night (All students; 6:00 PM; CFHS Auditorium)
June 8-12: June Band Camp (8:00 AM-5:00 PM M-Th; Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
July 20-24: Full Band Camp (8:00 AM-5:00 PM M-Th; Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
July 27-31: Full Band Camp (8:00 AM-5:00 PM M-Th; Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
August 29: Saturday Camp (9:00 AM-6:00 PM)
September 19: Saturday Camp (9:00 AM-6:00 PM)
September 26, October 3, 10, 24, and 31-Band Competitions (all day)
*Please note we will not compete the Saturday of the Homecoming Dance
October 17: Colt Classic Championship Competition
November 7: Potential Competition; Fayetteville Veterans Day Parade
December 12: Fayetteville and Stedman Christmas Parades (AM & PM)
